Delivery Mode

This skill set is delivered using a face-to-face, classroom-based delivery mode.

This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge required to provide entry level support for basic client care for a range of roles and purposes required within the aged care and disability support sectors. The support provided in client care will be predominantly non-direct, with some basic direct client care, in order to maintain the safety of both the learner and client in care.

The successful completion of this skill sets requires competency to be achieved in 3 units comprising of three (3) core units.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry skill sets for this skill set, although applicants will need to undertake an LLN assessment. Students are required to complete a Practical Placement which requires a police check and a NDIS screening. Students must also hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWC) or state equivalent.
