Qualification Duration

This qualification is typically delivered over a minimum duration of 7-12 months, including 120 hours of work placement in an aged care facility.

Delivery Mode

This qualification is delivered using a face-to-face, classroom-based delivery mode.

This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.

Qualification Detail

The successful completion of this qualification requires competency to be achieved in 18 units comprising of fifteen (15) core units and three (3) elective units.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, although applicants will need to undertake an LLN assessment. Students are required to complete a Practical Placement which requires a police check and NDIS screening.
