We Are Proud To Be A Skills First Provider
What is the Skills First Program?
Skills First is a set of reforms for the training and TAFE sector that includes a new approach to training, additional support for the courses that are most likely to lead to employment, and a higher benchmark for training quality. Skills First will ensure that Victoria can provide the skilled workers needed for the six sectors predicted for major growth; medical technology and pharmaceuticals, new energy technology, food and fibre, transport, defence and construction technology, international education and professional services.
Funding
Whether you’re an apprentice, a worker seeking retraining, a learner needing extra support or a regional student looking for a course in your local area. Since January 2017, Skills First has given students of all ages, high-quality training in skills employers are looking for. Under Skills First, there is more support for apprentices and trainees, more options for older workers to retrain and upskill as our economy changes, a commitment to high-quality training and better support for disadvantaged students.
