This skill set may only be undertaken in addition to:

– Completion of the RIISS00058 Traffic Controller Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads (TC1); 

– at least 40 hours of experience working in a temporary traffic management workplace in a traffic controller role.

The unit provides credit towards a number of Certificate II and Certificate III qualifications in the RII Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package and other training packages, such as RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent.​

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) involves an assessment of your knowledge and experience of your previous and current skills, and compares them to the requirements of an Austroads Temporary Traffic Management Training program (skill set). If you can clearly show that you have already gained the equivalent skills and knowledge, and that skill and knowledge is current, then you may be granted recognition of prior learning for an Austroads Temporary Traffic Management Training program (skill set).

The evidence you provide may include knowledge, experience and skills gained through part-time, full-time or casual work.
